W.A.T.T. is a team
tournament.You must fish with the
same partner for all tournaments. No substitutes will be allowed.
(You can fish by yourself)
If a team splits, the
boater of the team will receive all points and # of tournaments fished
unless the boater relinquishes all rights of points and tournaments fished
to the partner.The ex-partner can
start as a new team but must pay the membership fee again and start at 0
points and 0 tournaments fished. The boater will assume all points and all tournaments fished unless
he acquires a new partner. If this
occurs the boater will start at 0 for points and 0 # of tournaments
fished. You can only be involved in
a split one time per year.
A partner change can
occur once a year under hardship conditions which are death, catastrophic
illness, military or police deployment, etc.Hardship conditions may be approved by
tournament directors.The partner
that leaves forfeits all points to the new partner. If the partner that leaves from a
hardship decides to return he must start as a new team.
Only 50 % of the
average number of boats for the year will go to the Classic. (Example, if
the total average of boats is 60 for the year then only 30 boats will go
to the Classic.) This will be determined by the point system. You also may qualify by fishing all 9 tournaments,
this means you must fish and not just pay for the tournaments. You and your partner must fish at least 4
of the 9 tournaments together.
To determine angler(s)
of the year, the top 5 teams in points at the end of the 9th
tournament will have a points’ championship fish-off.For this tournament, there will be a new
point system in place which will be explained to those 5 teams at the end
of the year. This tournament will not cost anything and the winner(s) of
the angler(s) of the year will receive $500.The winner(s) of angler(s) of the year
will not have to pay the entry fee for the Classic.
Points system for
angler of the year will be as follows: 200 points for 1st
place, 199 for 2nd, 198 for 3rd, etc.50 points will be given to any team not
weighing any fish in.(This is for
the 9 regular tournaments and not the angler(s) of the year fish-off.)
Take off time and
weigh in times will be according to the schedule unless otherwise
specified before take off by tournament directors.
Five fish limit. No more than five fish will be brought
to weigh-in (cull as you catch).
Twelve inch minimum
length or lake regulations.
No trolling or live
bait (artificial bait only).
There will be a one pound penalty per minute late
to weigh-in up to ten minutes. After 10 minutes, your teams weight will be disqualified.
Any boater weighing in
a short fish will lose the short fish and also receive a one pound penalty
for each short fish.
Fish must be
alive.There will be a four-ounce
penalty for the 1st dead fish brought to the scales. No
more than one dead fish can be weighed in per team.
This is strictly a
catch and release tournament.No
fish are to be taken away from the tournament that is not dead. The results will be loss of credit for
that tournament and loss of points for the team.
